Residents in the 35th Senate District have an opportunity to make a difference in their community this holiday season. Sen. Wayne Langerholc, Jr. is organizing an annual holiday drive to collect essential items for those in need.

Langerholc's Richland district office is accepting donations of toiletries, socks, gloves, hats, and blankets. The donated items will be distributed to individuals who lack basic necessities, providing them with some comfort and warmth during the cold winter months.

"We have a duty to help provide for them and hopefully give them a brighter holiday season," Langerholc said, emphasizing the importance of community support.

Residents who wish to contribute to this meaningful cause can drop off their donations at 999 Eisenhower Blvd., Suite E. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant impact on someone's life.

Once all the donations have been collected, Senator Langerholc and his staff will personally deliver them to the Johnstown Soup Kitchen before Christmas. This ensures that the items reach those who need them the most in a timely manner.

Gwenn Dando, the contact person for this initiative, can provide further information and answer any questions that residents may have.

This holiday drive serves as a reminder of the power of collective action and the compassion that exists within our community. As Langerholc rightly said, "There are many individuals in our community who lack basic necessities. I humbly ask for help for our neighbors."

Let us come together and extend a helping hand to those in need, making this holiday season a little brighter for everyone.
